One person has been taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after a police operation in Bergen. The house caught fire when the police moved out.
The West Police District was notified just before 10 pm Monday night of riots in an apartment at Ibsens gate.
– A short time later, it was also reported that flames had been observed inside the apartment, police say.
– The police traveled with several patrols to the home, and based on the situation and the information obtained, weapons were handed over to the gangs involved. In connection with the assignment, the police fired shots and one person was transported to Haukeland University Hospital with gunshot wounds, it is further stated in a press release.
The police so far do not know the extent of the damage.
The special unit for police cases has been notified of the incident and the police will not comment further on the case until Tuesday.
