Will not appear in questioning about loaded shotgun

The police dropped the charge for illegal handling of firearms and violation of the Firearms Law on August 27 this year, police inspector Agnes Beate Hemiø in the eastern police district told TV 2.

The indictment was made known to the billionaire in late October this year.

Tom Hagen did not want to be questioned in the case. Last Friday, however, his defender, attorney Svein Holden, sent a written statement to the police on Hagen’s behalf.

The content of the note is unknown.

“If Anne-Elisabeth had wanted to go, she would have left a long time ago”

– For the sake of the investigation and the legal duty of confidentiality, the police will not comment on the case beyond this, says police inspector Hemiø.

On Monday, TV 2 failed to get a comment from Svein Holden on the question of why Hagen does not want to be questioned in the arms case.

I thought i was being watched

The billionaire is charged with illegal possession of four unregistered handguns, as well as a sharp-edged shotgun that police found under his bed. Police have also found associated ammunition.

Hagen still believes his wife was abducted by unknown perpetrators. The 70-year-old man has explained to the police that he believes unknown persons have spied on him.

So he thought it was necessary to have an easily accessible shotgun.

Police theory: Tom Hagen was waiting for an unknown car

With one exception, Hagen believes that all four pistols were non-functional and therefore did not need to be stored in the approved gun locker at home.

Must be delivered

The police have charged Hagen because he did not have a gun card for the guns and because the guns were not properly stored in a gun locker.

– Over time, all the pistols were stored in a steel ship’s chest with a solid padlock, but the chest is somewhat faulty. There is a lid on the coffin, which is designed so that these weapons are not easily accessible, even when the lid was opened, Holden tells NRK, who first mentioned the prosecution.

He also says that Hagen has been interested in guns since he was a teenager and that he has been a member of a shooting club for a long time.

– Hagen has intended to turn over the gun in a previous gun amnesty, but unfortunately it has not been done, Holden tells NRK.

Hagen admits partial criminal guilt, Holden reports to TV 2.
