According to a press release from the Tromsø municipality on Sunday afternoon, corona infection has so far been confirmed in 15 of the 36 crews.
Bug report
The “Sapphire II” arrived in Tromsø on Saturday with a sick person on board. They tested him and it came back positive. This was the same case the municipality reported early Sunday, but it was wrongly reported as a known close contact, they claim in the press release.
After the first test came back positive, everyone on board was tested. On Sunday at 6:00 p.m., test results showed that another 14 crew members tested positive.
In total, 15 have tested positive so far. It is currently unclear when the results of the remaining tests will be available.
– be in control
– We have control over cases like this. No one has landed in Tromsø. The positives are isolated and the others in quarantine. This does not matter for the spread of infection in the local community, says Kathrine Kristoffersen, municipal chief physician in Tromsø, in a press release.
When Nordlys was in “Sapphire II” in Breivika on Sunday night, a member of the crew expressed that he was in good shape, but quarantined.
