Strømsgodset had the knife to his throat before the game against Odd, but when it mattered most, the team’s spearhead stood out.

Odd – Strømsgodset 1-3

Drammen’s team needed a victory to secure a new contract in the Elite Series.

Lars-Jørgen Salvesen wanted to do something about it and scored three goals over Odds Sondre Rossbach, and secured the Eliteserie spot almost alone.

– He has lost a lot with opportunities this season, but when it comes to the majority, he delivers three goals. He will be the big hero, says Eurosport’s Jørn Sundby after the hat trick.

Salvesen show

Lars-Jørgen Salvesen had an uneven season, but in Skien he opened the goal tally after nine minutes. The shot from afar passed Sondre Rossbach on Odd’s goal and gave Strømsgodset a dream start.

Ten minutes later, it was Elba Rashani who was trying to spoil the game, and headed in the tie for the home team that held the position until the break.

After the break, everything turned to the guests and Lars Jørgen Salvesen. He took the bullet first and tried again from a distance. The attempt rolled to the corner and possibly Rossbach could have stopped it.

– That one you should probably get a chance to stop, Sondre Rossbach ?, came from Jørn Sundby of Eurosport after the score.

Secured space

It didn’t stop there for Godset and Salvesen, because in the middle of the round it was there again. Herman Stengel’s corner was good, and the tallest on the field was the long-haired striker from the guests.

The header was brilliant and he rushed to the net behind a last defense with no chances from Odd, and Salvesen’s third of the day was a done deal.

Odd never got any closer to the guests, and Strømsgodset secured himself with the renewed contract at the Eliteserien after another season with the knife to his throat.

Now there is only one home game against Stabæk left for Henrik Pedersen’s men at the end of the season.
