(Crystal Palace 0-7 Liverpool) A burning Liverpool completely humiliated Crystal Palace on Saturday morning.

Published:

Mohamed Salah started the game on the Liverpool bench and Takumi Minamino entered from the beginning. Two minutes after kick-off, Minamino was able to cheer on the goal and early lead for Liverpool.

And the visiting team was on fire on Saturday. After 35 minutes, Sadio Mané made it 2-0 before Roberto Firmino made it 3-0 just before the break.

When the referee blew the match, Crystal Palace had seven goals in the bag on conscience. Liverpool have never won by seven goals in a league game choose.

– Today we are ruthless. We dominate the game to a large extent and take advantage of the opportunities we have, says captain Jordan Henderson after the game.

He was also asked if this was Liverpool’s best game this season.

– In a way, this is our best game of the season. We just have to keep working hard and stay focused. The Christmas program is difficult, so we cannot be disappointed, smiles the Liverpool captain.

In the second half, Henderson and Firmino increased the lead to 5-0 for the visiting team, who therefore ran a game room with Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.

In his place also came Mohamed Salah for Mané, who really showed his displeasure at being taken off the field in the 57th minute.

Jürgen Klopp was able to at least rub his hand before the change turned out for more goals. The Egyptian had a goal pass on Firmino’s second goal, and in the 81st minute he stabbed himself 6-0 for Liverpool.

Three minutes later, he just as easily scored 7-0 for Liverpool in a pleasant manner where he turned the ball into the far corner.

– Liverpool score goals in all phases of attack, and show here why they are the clear reigning champions, said expert commentator Nils Johan Semb on TV 2 broadcast.

Thus, Klopp’s men could be rooting for the biggest win of the season by far, while also wanting to stay at the top of the table regardless of how the other matches in this round go.

The last time Liverpool won by equally superior numbers was when they faced Spartak Moscow in December 2017. They then beat the Russian team 7-0 in the Champions League.

VG updates the case.
