New and strict measures will be introduced starting on Christmas Eve.

He also presented the new and strict measures in the country:
- Max four in the restaurant
- Alcohol service closes at 8 pm
- Maximum number of stores, shopping centers and gyms. If that doesn’t work, they might close.
- Advises on the use of masks in public transport
- Schools should plan for homeschooling
Restrictions apply from Christmas Eve through January 24.

Deputy Prime Minister Isabella Lövin stated that everyone without socially critical jobs will work from home until January 24.
– It is not possible to return to normal daily life. The pandemic is about life and death. You can get infected and whoever you meet can get sick, he said.
The spread of the infection continues at a high level. Sweden on Friday recorded 100 new deaths from corona and 9,654 new cases of infection, figures from the Swedish Public Health Agency show. A total of 367,120 people have been diagnosed with the infection in Sweden, while 7,993 corona infections have died.
