Gina Ragnhild Tøfte in Vågå started feeling mild symptoms on Monday, December 14.

He had already moved into his own apartment on the farm when he was told his test was positive.

– At first it was snot and tears, but now it is going well, he says about the reaction of the children.

In the apartment, she has her own kitchen and uses the bathroom they have in the barn.

Communication with the rest of the family goes through the window, among other things.

– I see some kind faces in the glass. They have made a ski slope here. Then they throw things down the stairs. I have received letters and gingerbread, he says.

Increase in infection rates

Tøfte works as a nurse and is very concerned about who she may have infected.

– I work in the municipality, that’s why there are many that can be accidental. My colleagues, users and children, of course. It’s worse to feel it than to have a crown, he says.

Gulleik Riksaasen is Vågå’s municipal chief physician. He says they have been infected by a buffalo community in the municipality.

– We have infection among both nurses and residents. We are a little concerned about that. For example, we cannot say that we will have a bad Christmas. We are optimistic, he says.

But he emphasizes that they must work for people to define social interaction in the future.

You feel like you’ve done everything right

Gina Ragnhild Tøfte, who is a nurse in the municipality, says it is a bit “comical” that she is infected. She feels that she has done everything right.

– I have a lot of problems in the head of the gang here about alcohol and distance, so today I am the one with the crown, he says.

The interior is among the counties with the highest non infection pressure. In the municipality of Lillehammer, 135 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus since December 9.

At Fronskommunene in Gudbrandsdalen, there was a large outbreak that led to the closure of the doctor’s office in Vinstra.

At Hedmark, they have introduced new measures.

Christmas Eve can smoke

If the coronavirus is detected, it must be isolated for ten days. Gina Ragnhild Tøfte had symptoms ten days before Christmas Eve and she still does not know if she will be able to celebrate Christmas with her family in the usual way.

– I have to talk more with the doctor, but they pay me all the money with things that are more important. I’m not going in any way, says Tøfte.

In the nursing profession, she works shifts and is adamant that Christmas Eve is not always celebrated on Christmas Eve.

– Last year we celebrated the little Christmas Eve. Whether Christmas Eve arrives a day or two later, it doesn’t have much to say. It will be Christmas, she says.

His entire family has also been tested for the virus.

If they also test positive, they can probably be together.
