Police charged two people with attempted murder after a man was shot at a taco restaurant in downtown Stavanger. Both people have now been arrested.
Police were notified shortly before midnight and rushed to the scene. An injured person was found on the premises. The victims, who are 20 years old, have been taken to Stavanger University Hospital, seriously injured.
– We have been informed that he is seriously injured, but we have not received any confirmation from the hospital as to how he is now, police lawyer Christine Kleppa tells VG.
The police claim that the victim worked as a bartender in the restaurant.
The two people charged in the incident are said to have agreed to meet with the offended waiter at the restaurant after closing time, according to police.
In a press release Friday, police came with the update that they arrested two men in connection with the incident. Both people are charged with attempted murder.
One person is said to have been at the scene after the incident and the other was arrested at a hotel in Stavanger city center at 1 p.m. Friday, according to police.
– The two defendants are over 30 years old and the police have known them before, says Kleppa. She cannot enter into the type of relationship in question, but affirms: – There are different types of crimes.
The nightclub had closed for guests earlier in the evening.
– Do the two men have any connection to the restaurant?
– It is part of the investigation, we seek to map the connection with the restaurant and the connection between the two accused and offended, the police lawyer tells VG.
Kleppa does not want to comment on whether the man was shot multiple times.

At around 7 am the police stated that they had charged another person with attempted murder. This person is still at large.
– The police have charged another person with attempted murder, and we are looking for this person, says Kleppa.
A witness tells Stavanger Aftenblad that armed police had set up checkpoints at various locations in downtown Stavanger on Friday night. Passing vehicles were stopped and controlled.
