(Sheffield United 2-3 Manchester United) Dean Henderson (23) opened the game by giving Sheffield United a goal in the fourth minute, but in extra time the Englishman appeared with an important save.
Manchester United turned the game around 3-1 early in the second half, before Sheffield United dropped after a corner kick after 86 minutes.
Many Manchester United fans probably had bad memories of last year’s game at Bramall Lane, where Callum Robinson drew 3-3 in overtime, and Lys Mousset also had a great opportunity within two minutes of overtime, but then Dean Henderson it was in its place.
– After letting the first goal in, you sit back and think “now you have a good test, boy.” It shows that you learn and mature, and he handled it very well and made an important stop that saved us two points, Solskjær tells the BBC.
United stayed away, claiming their tenth direct victory in the Premier League (six of six this season). Solskjær’s men are now just two points behind second with one game less played.

For the first time, Dean Henderson had the opportunity early on ahead of David de Gea in a Premier League match where both were injury free.
Solskjær explained the choice with Henderson’s good form and the keeper’s knowledge of the Sheffield team, where Henderson had been on loan for the previous two seasons.
Before the game, Henderson told Amazon Prime that Manchester United had to be screwed from the start to take all three points.
– I’ll make sure the boys are excited from the start. They need to know how much it means. Especially during the first 20 minutes they will come out of the blocks furious, they have a lot to prove, Henderson said in the minutes leading up to the game.

As early as four minutes, the ball was in the net behind Henderson after the goalkeeper had spent too much time with the ball. Oliver Burke came in sunk under pressure and was tackled, and lying down passed the ball to forward David McGoldrick, who easily sent Sheffield United to the lead.
