Police were notified of the collision, which occurred on the Maria Dehli road by Haugenstua, shortly after 7 pm.

Police task leader Steinar Bjerke informs NTB that a 13-year-old boy has been beaten and that the condition should be critical.

Witnesses have described a black BMW pickup truck driving at high speed and striking a pedestrian.

– He was thrown into the air and into another car, Operations Manager Line Skott in the Oslo police district tells NTB.

The pedestrian was first reported to have been taken to hospital, but police later reported that he was being treated in an ambulance at the scene.

The police are questioning witnesses at the scene, who have explained that the black car drove away from the scene after the collision.

– We want to get in touch with the person in this car, says Skott, who encourages everyone who has observed the car to call 02800.

The car may have front end damage, police say.
