[ad_1]

Lars Lillo-Stenberg was going to record Christmas at Rockefeller. It won’t happen this year. Instead, he takes the pre-Christmas talk at Stavrum & Eikeland, where he talks about his heroin-addicted sister, among other things: – I’m incredibly proud of her.

2020 has been a special year, also for Lars Lillo-Stenberg, leader of DeLillos and Young Neils, the latter band that has recorded Christmas at Rockefeller in Oslo for life.

– It will definitely be a different Christmas. It belongs to my own Christmas mood to be there, Lillo-Stenberg tells Stavrum & Eikeland.

– Sad, but incredibly proud

A few years ago, Lars Lillo-Stenberg wrote a book about Ninni Stoltenberg, Camilla and Jens’ little sister, who died after many years of heroin abuse. Ninni was good friends with Lars Lillo and it was especially difficult to write, as Lars Lillo himself has a little sister who has struggled with heroin for many years.

– It’s sad, but I’m incredibly proud of her, says the popular musician.

He loves the ODMs, but sometimes he thinks they can be a bit brutal and crude.

– Cycling almost becomes a religion. Then I get into conflict, he tells Stavrum & Eikeland.

– I was brainwashed

Lillo-Stenberg also had a brutal run-in with the Norwegian school system, when he started first grade at Uranienborg school, just behind Oslo Castle.

– I was brainwashed, he tells Stavrum & Eikeland.

He also talks about what it’s like to be a musician in the Covid 2020 year, being a product of Steinerskolen, his many special texts on the meaning of life, the pursuit of money, materialism, and much more. And what Christmas song you like least.

This and much more at Stavrum & Eikeland. You can also listen to the podcast on Apple and Spotify podcasts.
