County Leader: – Shocked

– I am very disappointed and surprised that they chose to exclude Geir Ugland Jacobsen. He had thought it was higher than the ceiling.

Jacobsen was elected the new leader of Oslo Frp at the county team’s annual meeting in February this year. In several statements to the press, he has said he wants a more open process on who will be at the top of the county council’s parliamentary list.

Jacobsen also did not want to guarantee that the party leader, Siv Jensen, would get the top spot on the list.

However, Fagerland does not believe that the statements are related to the reaction: that is, the exclusion.

– The purpose clause is based on Norwegian and Western values. There must be tolerance for expression. There will be no development in politics or in the party for being afraid to speak, he says.

Jim Åge Andreassen is the leader of Vestvågøy Frp. He says that many react strongly to yesterday’s decision and that they have already received several notifications.

But Andreassen cannot say anything about how many members there are.

Andreassen himself is highly critical of the fact that the party leadership excluded Jacobsen. He stresses that he has not yet discussed the matter with his group. But for his part, he will express his full support for Jacobsen.

– It’s very sad that he was excluded. There should be room in the FRP for us who want to turn the party into a more conservative national leadership, he says.

FRP Oslo Member: – Goes too far

In addition to the provision to exclude Jacobsen, Oslo Frp is now under administration.

Therefore, the elected board no longer has the authority to govern itself. Instead, they will be chaired by an interim board appointed by the central board.

This new board is made up of Ketil Solvik-Olsen, Per-Willy Amundsen, Peter N. Myhre, Jon Georg Dale and Kari Kjønaas Kjos.

But internally on the county team, the response to the decision is not only good.

– It goes too far. This could have been solved in another way. As I see it, these are misunderstandings, says Ombir Upadhyay.

Upadhyay was a member of the Oslo Frp county board until yesterday. He is critical of the actions of the central board and lacks a good justification for the decision.

– What is your assessment that the leader of the Oslo FRP, Geir Ugland Jacobsen, is now excluded from the party?

– In my opinion, it goes too far. This could also have been resolved differently, for example notifying you what the central board reacted to. It doesn’t get worse than that.
