Sahar Tabar, or Fatemeh Khishvand as she is actually called, became known for posting heavily edited photos of herself on the popular Instagram photo and video platform.

She was arrested last year at the same time as other influential people in her home country of Iran, and at one point had more than 486,000 followers.

The teenager has now been sentenced to ten years in prison, according to The Guardian.

Infected with crown

Last year, she was arrested and charged with various crimes, including blasphemy, inciting violence and corruption, insulting the country’s dress codes, and illegally earning income.

She later stated that two of the charges had been dropped and that she expected to be pardoned.

Since her arrest, she has been detained and in April a humanitarian organization announced that she had been infected by the coronavirus behind the walls.

– Lie down in respirator

The human rights organization Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) claimed that at one point she was on a respirator at the Sina Hospital in Tehran.

According to CHRI, Judge Mohammad Mogiseh has repeatedly rejected Khisvand’s request for bail, even though other inmates have received temporary releases due to the crown outbreak.

– All the other defendants in this case have been released, and our client is the only one who has not been granted the request. Judges don’t, says attorney Derafshan.

An Iranian public broadcaster played Tabar’s confession in October last year, and after this he is said to have received much sympathy among the population.

In the television broadcast, the influencer is said to have been described as “a victim with an abnormal personality and mental state.”

In medical records, it has been reported that the young woman suffers from mental disorders and that she has been in psychiatric hospitals on several occasions.

Tabar’s lawyers are said to have requested bail for the teenager, noting that she was very young when the crimes were allegedly committed. So far they have not succeeded.
