The driver’s license of the driver in the late 1980s was confiscated after the car trip ended like this.
On Friday morning, emergency services were notified of a car that had come down a slope and ended up on the roof at Sanddalsringen in Midtun.
The adult woman was behind the wheel when the car, which was first in a parking lot on the outskirts of Rema 1000, went through a chain link fence and fell about ten feet.
Therefore, the car ended up on the roof of the road just below the parking lot.
– It’s pretty incredible that this went well. And thankfully no cars got in the way below, Operations Manager Steinar Hausvik in the West Police District tells BT.
The driver was hired by ambulance personnel at the scene and was later transported to the emergency room for a more detailed check. According to the police, she was apparently slightly injured.
– Exactly what happened, I don’t know. But it may be that the driver has confused the brake and accelerator. During normal driving, it shouldn’t end like this, says Hausvik.
– What do you think of what happened?
– Regardless of age, you have to be careful. It is done fast. And it’s good that it went so well, says the operations manager.
Driver’s license support
The woman’s certificate was confiscated after the accident due to a violation of article 3 of the Road Traffic Act.
Material damage
Interchange 110 reported property damage to the car that blocked a lane.
– The fire brigade released absorbent to get the coolant that leaked onto the road, and left the electric car without electricity. It was Viking who turned the car around, says duty commander Håkon Myking at the 110th interchange.
Vegtrafikksentralen stated early Friday that there were traffic problems on 5198 Sandbrekkeveien County Road. At 11:43, the road was open to free movement after the car was rescued.
