The verdict left little doubt. A unanimous Supreme Court, including Trump-appointed justices, rejected an attempt to change the outcome of the Pennsylvania election on Thursday night Norwegian time.

Nor is there anything in the ruling to indicate widespread disagreement. In the United States, Supreme Court justices can request that their arguments for or against a decision appear in the judgment itself.
So even the judges Trump himself has chosen – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett – don’t seem to agree that he won the election.

It was on Tuesday that Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in Texas filed a claim that the Supreme Court should give Trump electoral victory in the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia.
Michigan’s Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel was clear on what she wanted to say.
– This is a public relations stunt, not a serious legal problem, said Nessel.
“Mr. Paxton’s actions are below the dignity of the State Attorney’s Office and below the dignity of the people of the wonderful state of Texas,” said Nessel.
Biden will be formally elected president of the Electoral College on December 14.
