The wine monopoly may be affected by the strike – E24

At midnight on Wednesday night, the deadline for agreeing to mediation between the union LO NNN and NHO Mat og Drikke expires. If no agreement is reached, almost 200 organized by NNN will go on strike.

Following a breach in the negotiations on the agreement for the wine and spirits industry, the parties were summoned to mediation with the Ombudsman on 7 and 8 December.

NNN has announced the resignation of a total of 177 employees.

63 work at Arcus, while 114 work at Vectura, Arcus’ logistics company and those who deliver goods to Vinmonopolet.

Arcus communications director Per Bjørkum will not comment on the consequences of a possible strike.

Vinmonopolet is betting that the parties will reach an agreement and the company’s communications director, Halvor Bing Lorentzen, tells Børsen that the shelves will not be empty immediately.

He notes that Vectura accounts for about half of deliveries to Vinmonopolet.
