Ståle Solbakken broke the entry quarantine on Sunday afternoon when he was in the Ham-Kam match.

Dagbladet has received confirmation of this from the Norwegian Football Association.

It was when the new coach of the Norway team on Sunday night was at the Briskeby Stadium to see his old clubs Ham-Kam and Lillestrøm in the OBOS league that he broke the quarantine, reports Dagbladet.

Not in VIF-RBK

Ståle Solbakken will have landed in Oslo on Saturday, November 28 at 1:00 p.m. The online newspaper receives confirmation from Gro Tvedt Anderssen of the Norwegian Football Association that Solbakken will not be present at the match between Vålerenga and Rosenborg on Monday.

The 52-year-old announced on the day he was hired as the new coach of the national team that this would be the first match that he would follow from the stands as coach of the national team.

The general secretary of the Norwegian Football Association, Pål Bjerketvedt, told NTB that he does not know if Solbakken was physically at work on Monday, and that the director of the national team must take responsibility for the fact that he was at the game on Sunday.

– As Ståle himself says, it is not good to break the quarantine provisions. Regardless of the cause, Bjerketvedt tells NTB.

– You must apologize

Solbakken was in the game between HamKam and Lillestrøm eight days after arriving in Norway. The quarantine period after the trip to Norway is ten days.

– By counting closer, it is probably correct. Saturday morning came, thought and thought Friday … I must apologize, writes Ståle Solbakken in a text message to Dagbladet.

The Norwegian Football Association confirms that the new director of the Norwegian national team broke the quarantine when he was at the game on Sunday night.

– Ståle was in Briskeby yesterday. A lot has happened lately and the days have probably been entertaining a bit for our new national team manager, NFF director of communication and public relations Gro Tvedt Anderssen writes in an SMS to Dagbladet on Monday.

Ståle Solbakken’s first working day at NFF is today Monday.
