The new coach of the Norwegian national team was at Briskeby Stadium on Sunday afternoon to watch his two former clubs Ham-Kam and Lillestrøm in the main OBOS league match.
Maybe I shouldn’t have done that. Ståle Solbakken should still be in quarantine.
The next coach of the Norwegian national team landed in Oslo on Saturday November 28 at 1:00 p.m. after leaving his home in Copenhagen, as reported by Dagbladet.
This means that Solbakken attended the match eight days after arriving in Norway.
– By counting closer, it is probably correct. Saturday morning came, thought and thought Friday … I must apologize, writes Ståle Solbakken in a text message to Dagbladet.
– Hard, effective, demanding
Without dispensation
The quarantine period after the trip to Norway is ten days.
– Ståle was in Briskeby yesterday. A lot has happened lately and the days have probably been entertaining a bit for our new national team manager, NFF director of communication and public relations Gro Tvedt Anderssen writes in an SMS to Dagbladet on Monday.
– How do you see that Solbakken has broken the quarantine?
– Ståle has his first day of work with us today. We will probably help the day count handle well in the future, which is 9 is 9 and 10 is 10, Anderssen responds.
Hamar’s municipal supervisor confirms to Dagbladet that they have not given Solbakken any exemption from the entry quarantine.
The municipality investigates the case
The infection control doctor in Hamar municipality, Ketil Egge, says they will investigate the matter.
– Of course, we want people to complete quarantines. It is difficult to comment on this particular case because I am not aware of it, but I will look at it, says Egge.
– How will you react to this?
– It depends on how we know about the case and how it is handled further, Egge responds to Dagbladet.
On Sunday evening Solbakken was a guest on the Romerike Blad broadcast from the OBOS settlement and was later seen in the stands with his good friend and former club director in Ham-Kam and Vålerenga, Truls Haakonsen.
This year’s Christmas present!
You can risk a fine
In early November, the police announced that they would intensify their efforts against violations of crown rules. For breach of the quarantine or isolation obligation, the fine is NOK 20,000. This applies after arrival from abroad, after close contact with someone who has been confirmed infected, or if you are infected yourself.
Many people have been fined for quarantine violations in recent times. As of October, 84 people in Oslo alone had been fined between 5,000 and 22,000 crowns for violating quarantine and isolation rules.
On Monday, it was announced that Solbakken will take part in the Eurosport pre-broadcast from Vålerenga – Rosenborg, and will then watch the match at Intility in Oslo as one of his first work assignments for NFF.
