The newly established airline will release name and profile on Saturday night, writes Finansavisen.

Since the news in October that the aviation veteran would compete with the other players in the aviation market in the form of a crown, there has been silence on the investment. Now, however, corporate management has been hired, with Tonje Wikstrøm Frislid as senior director, and it has been decided that the new airline will be primarily based at Oslo Airport. Furthermore, it has been decided that the focus area will be primarily the Norwegian market.

Flyr hopes to be on the wings in the first half of next year. The objective is to participate in the Norwegian passenger market.

– For customers, we must present an attractive offer and then having a low cost will be absolutely crucial, says Erik G. Braathen to the newspaper.

The new airline has hired several former senior managers of Norwegian, which has suffered a crisis, including the chief executive officer.

In October, the government refused to support the new airline and referred to the ordinary crown measures for aviation. However, this has not had consequences for the establishment of the company.
