HBO Max arrives in Norway

Earlier this year, all content from HBO and Warner Bros., among others. merged into a streaming service by the name of HBO Max. The service is initially only available in the US, but will arrive in Norway next year.

An HBO Nordic spokesperson confirms to Dagbladet that HBO Max is scheduled to launch in Europe in the second half of 2021 and that it will replace HBO’s European services.

Coming to Norway

Danish website Flatpanels writes that the content library will double when HBO Max replaces HBO Nordic, but that it is currently unknown if the price will be adjusted.

In the United States, HBO Max costs $ 14.99 per month, which is equivalent to 130 crowns at the current exchange rate.

As in Norway, HBO’s service in the US only consists of 1080p content, but in December it will launch the first content in 4K HDR with support for Dolby Atmos.
