His 70-year-old mother was released by the police two days later.

According to the investigation, the police and tax authorities cannot provide evidence that she violated Swedish law by keeping her son in physical custody.

The mother, described by the day as a small and tired woman, receives the Expressen newspaper at her home in the apartment. This is the first time in 41 years that the son is not there. Is in the hospital.

Compensation for dead brother?

Because it has been several decades before someone, including local social authorities, has detected the problems behind the same front door, the story of the Swedish tragedy still has no answer.

Aftonbladet has spoken to five former principals at the school where the boy disappeared in seventh grade and was never seen again.

None of them can remember anything from such a story.

It was one of the boy’s two sisters who took the 41-year-old brother out of the family apartment. They hadn’t had contact for 20 years.

When he was a year and a half, his older brother died. When the younger brother, now 41, was given the same name as the deceased and was overprotected by his mother, his explanation of how it started is incorrect.

And it got worse.

The sister who found him had not had any contact with her 20-year-old brother. He entered the apartment after learning that his common mother was in the hospital.

The apartment was dark, smelly, and miserable. The television was on. The brother, who was rarely seen in the neighborhood since dropping out of school after seventh grade 28 years ago, was sitting in a corner of the kitchen, toothless and with large wounds on his body.

Terribly bad

– When he saw that it was me, he repeated my name over and over again. I was stressed, restless, and a little scared. He was in terrible physical condition with wounds liquefying from just two black stumps on his lower jaw. But I experienced it in such a way that he was glad to see me, the sister told Expressen.

It is said that he tried several times to report his concerns about conditions at the children’s home without reaching them.

Neighbors Expressen has spoken with confirm the sister’s assumptions that the brother was not physically trapped the entire time. Neighbors have seen it outdoors in some cases, often at night.
