The Chinese Xiaomi is rising in the mobile market. Apple thus loses the third place among the largest players.

Apple has taken a step forward in recent years. Last year, the company was overtaken by the Chinese Huawei and now it is Xiaomi who is running away.
Thus, Apple has dropped to fourth place on the list of companies with the largest market share in the mobile market. Report to analytics agency Gartner.
Xiaomi now has a global market share of 12.1 percent, while Apple stands at 11.1 percent. Market leader Samsung still has a solid edge.
Xiaomi’s products have long had limited availability on the Norwegian market, but this has started to change, reports the Norwegian website Digi.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi partnered with electronics chain Power and mobile operator Ice announced last year that they would sell select Xiaomi models.
These are the top five players in the mobile market:
1. Samsung: 22 percent market share
2. Huawei: market share of 14.1 percent
3. Xiaomi: market share of 12.1 percent
4. Apple: 11.1 percent market share
5. OPPO: 8.2 percent market share
