Erna Solberg (H) tells Dagbladet that a negative test can give false assurance.
– If you come from one of the most infected areas in Norway, perhaps you should practice from two meters away, especially for those in vulnerable groups, says Solberg.
At the government crown press conference on Wednesday last week, he said that people from Bergen and Oslo should get tested before traveling to visit the elderly at Christmas. So now you are following this advice.
Health director Bjørn Guldvog believes that a lot of care should be taken in the last 14 days before going home for Christmas.
– We do not recommend getting tested before going home for Christmas because it is possible to test negative even if you are infected. The most important thing you can do before you go home for Christmas is to behave as if you are in an area with a lot of infection. That way, you can make sure that there is a very small chance that you will show up at Christmas dinner with an infection, says Bjørn Guldvog.
