With Ødegaard replaced with a quarter of an hour to go to the end of the match, the Spanish were unable to put Trubin through the big tests towards the end of the match.
Instead, it was Shakhtar who doubled the lead after 82 minutes. A good counterattack, where Solomon was able to run without pressure for almost 40 meters, ended with the Israeli hitting the ball into the goal from 20 meters.
There were no more goals and the match ended 2-0 in favor of Shakhtar Donetsk.
The result means that Real Madrid is surpassed by the rival tonight, who takes second place in the group.
After Inter’s 3-2 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach later in the evening, Group B is now fully open before everything is decided in the sixth and final round. The truth is that Real Madrid cannot afford to lose when they visit Mönchengladbach on December 9.
