Skien police have seized more than 700 kg of hashish, probably with a street value of around NOK 140 million.

On Saturday, November 21, between 700 and 800 kilos of hashish were found in a vehicle in Kjørbekk, Skien. This is stated by the police in a press release on Tuesday, December 1.

The seizure is one of the largest individual seizures ever made in Norway, and the police estimate that the hashish has a street value of around NOK 140 million.

A Norwegian citizen and a Lithuanian citizen were arrested in connection with the seizure and, after the arrest, another Norwegian citizen was arrested, according to police.

Skien Police Police Attorney Odd Skei Kostveit says they are all now charged with serious drug-related offenses.

– One of the hypotheses of the police is that the hashish has arrived with the Polish trailer, and that way it seems to be organized, says Kostveit in the press release.

Telemark Police are leading the investigation of the case.
