Of the 239 cases that have been detected since last Monday, there are 44 cases in which the route of contagion is unknown, which is almost one in five cases. The ratio worries the director of infection control, Einar Sagberg.

Although the municipality has gone the extra mile to map people with an unknown infection route, it has been difficult to find common points of contact.

– In recent days, this group is characterized by the fact of having been part of society. They have been to shops and traveled by public transport, and this only shows that there is still a large spread of the infection in the community, Sagberg tells the municipality’s website.

Therefore, he believes that it is important that they keep a good distance from each other when meeting, take care with hand hygiene, and examine each other for relatively mild symptoms.

Of the 24 new cases in the last 24 hours, 15 of them are close contacts of previously proven cases. Three people have been diagnosed with the infection after traveling abroad, while six people are unaware of the route of infection.

Since the beginning of March, 1,650 people living in the municipality of Drammen have been diagnosed with corona infection. 21 people have died after being diagnosed with coronary heart disease.
