– Now it seems that we are on top in most places of this second wave of infection. And in many municipalities it also goes down. This is what the deputy director of health, Espen Nakstad, tells NRK.
As of midnight Monday, 282 new corona infections were recorded in the country. There are 71 fewer registered than the day before and 124 fewer than on Monday night a week ago.
The last time fewer than 300 people were registered was on Sunday, November 1, according to NTB.

According to Nakstad, the measures have certainly helped because the increase has slowed and stabilized across the country.
Nakstad emphasizes, however, that things can change quickly and that we are still not safe.
Oslo’s lowest figure in two weeks
– Regrettably, measures are still necessary to be able to further reduce this situation. But there are many indications that the second wave of infection is borderline, says Nakstad.
He believes that when we arrive a little later in December, we can see if the infection gets so low that we can celebrate a more normal Christmas.
– I think at least it will be possible for most people to celebrate with those with whom they live, and perhaps with immediate family. So the question is how many more people can you meet during Christmas. This is a question that is difficult to answer today.
On Sunday, 52 new cases of infection were reported in former Østfold County in the past 24 hours. The cities of Moss and Halden have introduced several strict measures to stop the infection in the cities.
During the past 24 hours, 79 people tested positive for coronavirus in Oslo. This is the lowest increase in the city in one day in the last two weeks, and 69 less than what was registered on Monday of last week, shows the summary of the municipality.
