After twenty minutes, Robert Taylor walked to the ground within 16 meters of the guests. Kristoffer Barmen was not far from putting the ball into goal, but he hit the left post and instead of masking the net.

However, ten minutes before the break, the exact same position was in the right place for the people of Bergen. Stong in put Daouda Bamba on a real goal in the first goal of the match.

However, the fire should not last long in the lease. The guests pulled an attack out of the hat and Vetle Fiskerstrand tied three minutes later.

The minute before the break, Bamba still snatched the ball in the middle from Aalesund and passed the ball past the goalkeeper to the Sunnmørings again, so it was 2-1 at the break.

But Bamba didn’t finish his effort for Brann after the first half.

With half an hour to go, the hat trick was a fact. The goal-hungry Ivorian slipped the ball gracefully over the crossbar, through an Aalesund player.

Takkar koronasjukdomen

Bamba believes that part of his success on the field may be due to the fact that he was ill with a crown earlier this month.

– I needed a break from football, says the three-goal scorer.

He could do that when he was sick and had to be isolated.

– I ate sweets and played soccer. He didn’t watch football and he didn’t train, says Bamba.

– I tend to be a professional, but now I could shit on that, he adds.

Fire your almost safe place

With the winner on Saturday, Brann has almost secured a spot in the Elite Series next year as well. With 31 points and four games to play, he is in tenth place. The playoff spot on the 14th is now Strømsgodset. They have 24 points and six games att.

Coach Kåre Ingebrigtsen also believes that the team’s quarantine in early November was a good one.

– We all benefit, and to be able to relax and readjust, he says.

After the change of coach in August, it has not been obvious that Brann should also be allowed to play at the highest level next year. When Nilsen passed the baton to Ingebrigtsen in August, Brann was in eighth place.

But since the manager change, they have come closer and closer to the relegation battle.

In the last week, they still have six points.

I am very happy with the team no. Players are starting to get in shape, says Ingebrigtsen.

Also Tuesday, Brann’s fans could win by three points. Then it was Ingebrigtsen and assistant coach Eirik Horneland’s former club, Rosenborg, who lost to the Bergen Reds.

Moves down – happy Brann drives

“I only have good memories of the time in Bergen, and I hope to see everyone in the stadium again,” current Aalesund coach Lars Arne Nilsen told NRK on Friday.

It is quite uncertain whether any good memories were created for Nilsen after Saturday’s game. Then, for the first time, gong returned to the field at the stadium after he was fired from his coaching job at Brann in August.

Since Aalesund lost the match, they have officially relegated.

– It was good to be back. I can’t be happy for the game, but I’m glad Brann manages it. They won fully, says Nilsen after the match.

Gudmund Kongshavn
