NRK’s new Saturday show “Maskorama” has captivated Norwegians. Every week, celebrities compete in the unusual singing competition, to keep their identity hidden and continue on the show for another week.

On Saturday it was time for a new celebrity to go home. However, before knowing what celebrity she was, presenter Silje Nordnes had to announce that it was the unicorn who now had to reveal her identity, that after impressing the panel with strong singing performances.
51 percent were right
On Saturday, Jan Thomas had guessed once again that it had to be Princess Märtha Louise who was hiding in the unicorn costume, while Nicolay Ramm pulled a new name from his hat on Saturday: Guri Schanke.
Marion Ravn insisted that it had to be Inger Lise Rypdal behind the mask. Up to 51 percent of people thought the same, and they should be right. The popular artist was disguised as a unicorn.
– This is almost indescribable. It is so special. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s also very demanding, says Rypdal about participating in the show.
Maskorama is broadcast live, and Rypdal notes that it gets on her nerves.
– But fuck the south, great fun.
With a new dialect
Saturday is also the first night that the contestants have sung two songs. Rypdahl himself had chosen “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys and “Where do I Begin” by Regine Valesquez.
Last week it was the poodle who had to reveal his identity and many were surprised that it was Mia Gundersen who was inside the pink suit. He had tried to hide his Rogaland dialect and the poodle’s distorted voice had a dialect from Northern Norway.
– We should try to cheat a bit, Gundersen himself said last Saturday.
From before, the leader of the central game Trygve Slagsvold Vedum, dressed as a scarecrow, and the former handball player Susann Goksør Bjerkrheim, dressed as a lynx, who has had to leave the competition.
The ones still in the competition are now the troll, the elk, the raven, and the Viking.
