Lan Marie Berg tops the Oslo MDG election list. Second place goes to Rasmus Hansson, who won the match by voting against Green Youth leader Hulda Holtvedt.

Berg, who is the environmental adviser in Oslo, did not oppose the candidates and received unanimous support for first place at the nomination meeting on Thursday night. But second was the scene of a battle between two of the party’s profiled politicians.
Holtvedt (21) is deputy representative at the Storting today and was unanimously nominated for second place by the nominating committee, but was challenged by Hansson, 66, who had previously been a national spokesperson and parliamentary representative for the party.
He first pulled out of the nomination campaign, but changed his mind after what he calls “big, nice and compelling” pressure.

– Too narrow
In the debate leading up to the vote, several thought the nominating committee’s recommendation was too narrow, with too many women under 35 at the top of the list. Holtvedt’s supporters, for their part, noted that the party has great potential to kidnap first-time voters and needs young politicians at the top.
But despite the youth party mobilizing for its leader, Hansson pushed her aside.
Hansson received 211 of the votes in the digital gathering, while Holtvedt received 173 votes.
There was also a coincident vote for third place on the list, where two bench proposals were received, including Greenpeace leader Truls Gulowsen. However, the majority supported another bank proposal: Sigrid Z. Heiberg.

Can bring two
If opinion polls are successful, the party can win two representatives to the Oslo bench in next year’s parliamentary elections, according to Poll of Polls.
Oslo MDG has been represented at the Storting since 2013, first by Hansson, then by Une Aina Bastholm.
The latter will be the party’s top candidate in Akershus next year.
