On Saturday night the final of “Skal vi danse” took place in Fornebu in Oslo. After an evening filled with a number of highlights, airy air, and not least a reunion with the eliminated contestants, it was NRK host Andreas Wahl (37) and dance partner Mai Mentzoni who took the victory.
– It’s completely wild. He was so excited and shocked, Wahl told See and Hear after he took the win.
Thus, reality contestant Nate Kahungu (24) and dance partner Helene Spilling (24) finished second in the dance competition.
This will now
Experienced voice problems
As most people have probably noticed, Kahungu and Spilling experienced earlier this fall that they were kicked out of the TV show by mistake due to voting problems.
– We have had time to review all social networks to see what the audience reports. The common thing is that you have not had the opportunity to press the button to vote on TV2.no. Others report slowness and that the voices have finally passed, press manager Jan-Petter Dahl explained to Se og Hør at the time.
He further explained that they should investigate with the subcontractor behind the voting system and emphasized that they take voting problems very seriously.
Soon after, TV 2 was able to say that Kahungu and Spilling could continue on “Skal vi danse”.
Ugly break up with the dance partner
– There should never be uncertainty about the polls on TV 2. So today we have decided that Nate and Helene have another chance next Saturday.
I think it happened again
However, shortly after the winner was announced Saturday night, several of the viewers expressed that the same thing may have happened once again.
Among other things, it appears in the comment field of the Facebook page of TV 2, where several have indicated that they did not get their votes and were registered.

Some point out that the free votes cast on the TV 2 website did not work, while others believe they have had trouble voting by SMS. There are also some viewers who believe they received a receipt that the vote was sent, several hours later.

Two of the See and Hear reporters also experienced problems with voting, as three new free votes were cast in the middle of the show. They were not allowed to use this.
TV 2 press manager Jan-Petter Dahl is convinced that everything has gone as it should.
– We had continuous monitoring of our voice systems throughout the final of “Bailamos” and everything worked as it should, he says.

Conditions beyond our control
Dahl further explains that the problems they had earlier in the season were due to challenges with the capacity of a subcontractor, and that this was resolved immediately by increasing capacity considerably.
– There were no challenges with the ability during the final. When it comes to receiving votes cast by SMS, it happens that you experience receiving them for a while after the votes have been cast, especially during broadcasts where we experience a high volume of votes, he says.
– Telecommunications operators then do not prioritize sending receipts exactly when votes are cast. Therefore, they can arrive long after the final is over. However, this does not mean that the votes are not recorded. All votes are continuously recorded, although you may experience receiving the reply message for a while afterward, Dahl continues.
– It is quite reduced
Dahl acknowledges that they will probably never avoid the fact that some will have trouble voting.
– When this is the case, we like to see that it is due to various challenges at the local level with the individual, and that then there are conditions beyond our control, he explains.
Therefore, there is little reason to believe that the final of “Bailamos” will be held again, as several on social media have expressed their wish.
