In several parts of the country, the use of masks during taxi trips is now recommended or mandatory, to slow the spread of the infection.
Taxi Innlandet, which organizes taxi service in Gudbrandsdalen, introduced new measures last weekend. Thereafter, passengers driving to and from parties and social gatherings at night were put to an end for a time, writes Gudbrandsdølen Dagningen.
– It is difficult to control infections in taxis and to have control of any infection tracking when driving people who come from larger social gatherings, explains Morten Havn, head of Taxi Innlandet to the newspaper.
According to the Port, the other service works normally, within the guidelines recommended by the health authorities.
The manager says they have mostly received support from customers after they temporarily stopped driving the party, with the exception of some negative reactions from drunk people in the first few days.
Outbreaks in progress
The interior now has an ongoing outbreak related to Vinstra’s asylum reception in the Nord-Fron municipality. A total of 68 people in Nord-Fron were diagnosed with corona infection on Monday. 43 of them will be connected to the reception, writes NTB.
Several of the 43 corona-infected people associated with the asylum reception center were recently transferred from other reception centers, and the municipality is working on the theory that this is how the infection has reached the reception center.
The regional director of the Norwegian Immigration Directorate (UDI), Siv Kjelstrup, describes the situation as serious and very worrying.
– We take an infection outbreak as large as in Vinstra very seriously. Now we are doing what we can to support the operational operator and what the municipality should do regarding infection sports. It will be important to separate those who are infected and to come in isolation, he tells Gudbrandsdølen Dagningen.
