The 21-year-old scored his first goal for AC Milan in Serie A within five minutes of extra time against Napoli.
NAPOLI – AC MILAN 1-3:
On the same night that Bodø / Glimt claimed league gold, Jens Petter Hauge scored his first goal for AC Milan in Serie A. He already has a goal in the Europa League.
The wing was replaced in the 73rd minute and five minutes into extra time it made it 3-1 for Milan in the big game against Napoli.
Hauge was played down the left side and dribbled a Napoli defender, before he put the ball into the goal from an angle.
“We have to pinch ourselves on the arm of this here,” exclaimed Strive commentator Per Jarle Heggelund when Hauge scored.
Television cameras captured an ecstatic Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the sidelines. The Swede was replaced, but showed with a big smile that he appreciated Hauge’s performance.
Series champion with Bodø / Glimt
While Hauge was sitting on the bench, his former club Bodø / Glimt became league champion in the Eliteserien. There he managed to play 18 games and score 14 goals and assist eight goals before going to Italy.
His former coach, Kjetil Knutsen, is impressed with the young man’s achievements abroad.
– Jens Petter scores today for Milan and, so to speak, I think he is doubly happy today, Knutsen tells Nettavisen.
– It was total chaos in the closet. It was special and something about Jens Petter that guy never surprises you, says Knutsen impressed.
His Swedish teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided the league leader’s first two goals before Dries Mertens cut for Napoli.
Milan lead Serie A with 20 points after eight games, two points ahead of Sassuolo.
