Just before ten at night on May 26 this year: At one address in Oslo, a man is accosted and beaten multiple times with a fire dragon against his upper body and head.

The man who hit, declared that he was going to kill his victim, who finally managed to run out of the place and seek help from a neighbor, according to the indictment issued by the Oslo Prosecutor’s Office.

The prosecution believes that the act of violence should be considered an attempted murder.

Court-appointed experts who have evaluated the defendant believe that he is insane and that he was also insane at the time of the crime, according to defense attorney Gøran Møller Christiansen.

Hit the police officer

If the Oslo District Court reaches the same conclusion, the man is not criminally sane. Therefore, you will probably be sentenced to treatment.

In addition to the attempted murder with the fire dragon, he is accused of hitting a policeman on the hand after the arrest.

He is also accused of violating a restraining order against the address where the alleged murder attempt took place. Two weeks before the assassination attempt occurred, the victim was accosted and beaten with a fire dragon or a cane, according to the indictment.

Questions about treatment

There is a relationship between the insane man and the offended man, according to TV 2 information.

– Experts have established that my client was not sane at the time of the crime. Now the question is whether or not he needs treatment, says defender Christiansen.

The case is due to be heard at the Oslo District Court on February 2 and four days have been reserved for the main hearing.

TV 2 was unable to obtain comment from prosecutor Ingrid Vormeland Salte or the victim’s legal aid attorney, Sverre Ulstrup.
