In both Tromsø, Oslo and other parts of eastern Norway, the police report parties with more than ten participants. One of them was at Grünerløkka in Oslo, at 0140 on Saturday night.

– We received several messages from neighbors about the noise, and when we arrived there were twelve people including the one who lives on the site. It is above legal under infection control, and everyone is reported. And then there will be fines on the order of 5,000 to 10,000 crowns, says operations manager Line Skott in the eastern NRK police district.

The municipality of Oslo announced yesterday a new peak of infections, when 241 people had been diagnosed with a positive corona test in the last 24 hours. On Saturday, 154 new infected people were registered in the last 24 hours.

Party with adults and children

Oslo police say there have been other reports of noise, but no infection control violations.

– It’s only where the police have implemented infection control legislation, and it seems that people see the gravity of the situation and follow the order, and it’s gratifying, says operations manager Skott in Oslo.

In Askim, the Eastern Police District had to interrupt a party at 1:20 on Saturday night.

– There were 26 guests and all the participants are denounced for violating the Infection Control Law. It was claimed to be a public event, but it appeared to be a private event. A local assessment was made based on how the facilities are and how those who are there take it into account, says operations manager Gisle Sveen in the NRK East Police District.

– Young people

Also in Nannestad, the Eastern Police District had to break up a private party in a well-located room just before 8pm on Friday night. There were adults and children at the party.

– A participant and an organizer are notified. An estimated 30 people have been there, both children and adults, and in a way that does not meet the requirements in terms of infection control, says operations manager Sveen.

Tromsø police have reported 11 people at one party and 15 at another on Saturday night. Both parties were in private places near the center. The police denounce both the organizers and the participants for violations of local regulations on the prevention of coronary heart disease.

– These are relatively young people, and a case is being opened against those who were present, says operations manager Rune Nilsen.
