Police were notified of the incident at 5:45 p.m.
– We were notified that a child had been stabbed outside the Trosterud leisure club. We quickly arrived at the scene with the ambulance and started an investigation, operations manager Guro Sandnes tells TV 2.
The boy is a teenager and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 16-year-old’s condition remained stable until Thursday night, and less serious than feared.
– He was conscious when they took him away, so that’s a good sign, says Sandnes.
Multiple perpetrators
Witnesses at the scene have given police descriptions of who could be the perpetrators.
– It may appear that several people were involved or close when it happened. We are searching the area for one or more perpetrators, Sandnes says.
No one was arrested Thursday morning after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed at the Trosterud leisure club in Oslo’s Alna district on Wednesday.
The 16-year-old’s condition remained stable until Thursday night and less severe than initially feared.
– We have worked a lot with the case, but we have not approached any perpetrator. But the 16-year-old has not been questioned, we hope it can happen soon, Crimes Director Astrid Hasselgård of the Crime Guard at the Oslo Police told NTB on Thursday morning.
He says that video surveillance in the area has not responded to the police.
They are looking for one, but probably more perpetrators. According to the police, the boy will have no connection to the leisure club.
– We have secured the crime scene and conducted several forensic investigations. We have also questioned witnesses and are still working with all our might to capture one or more perpetrators, says operations manager Rune Hekkelstrand.
