With one exception, US President Donald Trump has not appeared in public since the electoral defeat of Democrat Joe Biden two weeks ago.

The president’s official calendar is almost empty. Inside the White House, an oppressed Trump will alternate between staying at home and in the Oval Office and spending time watching television and thinking about re-election in 2024, according to the New York Times.

Little indicates that it will break that pattern immediately.

Tradition believes

Next Thursday, Americans celebrate “Thanksgiving”, Thanksgiving Day in Norwegian. The holidays bring American families together around the table, often with the traditional dish that is part of the day: turkey.

During Trump’s three years as president, he and his family celebrated and vacationed at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club, with its golf course and spa, in Palm Beach, Florida.

The news agency writes that this year the Trump family will not vacation in Mar-a-Lago, but will stay “at home” in the White House.

This is confirmed by Stephanie Grisham, spokesperson for Melania Trump, On twitter.

It is not known what the reason is, but there is speculation in the US press that Trump does not want to appear in public after the electoral defeat.

Cemetery visited

After election night on Nov. 3, Trump has only been photographed outside the White House twice.

The last time was last week when he attended a memorial service for fallen veterans at the Arlington War Cemetery on Veterans Day.

The first time was the same week the elections were held. Then Trump traveled to Sterling, Virginia, to play golf, one of the president’s favorite pastimes.

Great golfer

The 45th and current President of the United States has spent a lot of time on the golf course during his presidency.

He is said to have visited golf courses 287 times since January 20, 2017, according to the TrumpGolfCount.com website, which tracks the president’s golf.

According to them, that equates to 2,619 hours of golf.

By comparison, Wednesday is 1,398 days since Trump assumed the presidency on January 20, 2017.
