Snow showers and sleet

Due to the large amounts of precipitation, NVE has issued a landslide and flood hazard warning at the orange level for Vestland County, and a flood hazard at the orange level for parts of Sogn and Hordaland.

There is a danger of surface water in densely populated areas and it can be difficult driving conditions. Some places may lose road connection temporarily, Skare warns.

– Tomorrow we will have strong winds from the northwest and it will be much colder. It turns to rain and sleet in the lowlands, and snow showers in the interior and higher areas.

The meteorologist asks people to pay special attention to one thing.

– Blowing hard from the northwest, a slightly new direction from which you don’t usually blow as much. People should give it some thought.

In addition, he advises people to secure loose objects and avoid unnecessary traffic in exposed places.

These roads are closed

– Too early to tell

Jan Magne Svåi, head of the real estate department in the municipalities of Luster, says that the crisis management in the municipality has had a dialogue about the danger warning.

It says it is currently too early to say which areas are exposed.

– We dare not answer that. There can be big local differences. We have a valley in Skjolden, Fortunsdalen, which is exposed to flooding. But there may also be another place, he says.
