An unexpected outbreak in Adelaide, South Australia, is prompting state authorities to impose strict restrictions.

On Wednesday, a six-day shutdown was announced to address an outbreak of infection in the city of Adelaide at the root. City dwellers can now only leave their homes to go to work if you work in essential occupations, have medical reasons, have an organized meeting with someone in the later stages of life or in an emergency.

In addition, one person from each household can leave the house up to once a day to go to the store to buy the necessary items. Write the police in a press release.

Don’t exercise outdoors

The police emphasize that you cannot leave your home to exercise.

Secretary of State Steven Marshall told a news conference Wednesday night that they now need a few days to break the chain of infection.

– We need a breather for infection tracking to protect the elderly, the vulnerable and to protect society at large. That is why today I am asking you to take responsibility again, Marshall said, according to The Guardian.

Schools, restaurants and factories are being called for, while residents across the state are ordered to stay home after 22 cases of infection were discovered in a quarantine hotel.

- Incredible. The infection was released again.

– Time is of the essence and we must act quickly and decisively. We can’t wait and see how bad it can turn out, says Marshall.

– Do not come

The Tasmanian authorities are sending a clear message to the people of South Australia.

– Don’t come here, writes Prime Minister Peter Gutwein in Tasmania on Twitter.

The outbreak in Adelaide comes after a time of very few COVID-19 cases in Australia.
