Dagbladet updates the case!
Tonight was the scene of the semifinals of “Skal vi danse”, and the remaining three couples Nate Kahungu (24) and Helene Spilling (24), Andreas Wahl (37) and Mai Mentzoni (28) and Marte Bratberg (31) and Benjamin Jayakoddy (26), gave up the iron on the ground in the hope of securing a ticket to the final.
– I do not breathe
Tonight, however, was a very special semi-final when the broadcast was held without an audience, but it didn’t seem like the contestants were less spinning because of it.
Unfortunately, only two couples can participate in the final, and tonight it was Mars Bratberg who had to thank the dance.
I have a third place
It became apparent after tonight’s dance duel between Mentzoni and Wahl and Bratberg and Jayakoddy.
– I’m really fine. I really try Andreas and Mai to stand in a final. There must be limits to the number of duels I can win, says Bratberg on the TV show.
Thus, it will be Nate Kahungu and Helene Spilling, and Andreas Wahl and Mai Mentzoni, who will fight for victory in this year’s “Skal vi danse”.
The first couple to hit the dance floor tonight were Wahl and Mentzoni who danced a fiery samba to the song “Mi Gente”.
– It was hot! There were flames here and there, exclaimed “Skal vi danse” judge Trine Dehli Cleve after the samba, but noted nonetheless that she thought it was a bit of a rough start.
For samba, Wahl and Mentzoni got 32 points.
Wahl and Mentzoni also delivered a tango during tonight’s broadcast as their second dance, accumulating 39 points for this one.
– Graceful
Then it was Bratberg and Jayakoddy’s turn to draw viewers’ attention with their slowfox to the song “All Of Me”.
– When you dance together, I think you have risen Mars yourself, you stand much better on your two feet. You are graceful and beautiful in your upper body, and you dance very well with Benjamin, said dance judge Merethe Lingjærde.
Tore Petterson, however, did not see that Bratberg could stretch a bit more in the upper body, while Dehli Cleve felt that the slow fox was characterized by nervousness.
For their second dance, samba, the duo scored 38 points.
– On showman
In the end, it was Kahungu and Spilling’s turn to shine an energetic Jive to the A-Ha classic “Take On Me”.
– Nate is a showman and I love watching him dance. You make the jive look playfully easy, Merethe Lingjærde said after the dance, while Dehli Cleve pointed out that the dance partner delivered the jive exactly as it should be.
For the jive, they got the highest score out of a total of 40 points.
Kahungu and Spilling performed a tango as their second dance to Shawn Mendes’s “There is nothing to hold me back.” For the tango, they got 39 points.
