Police have charged Tom Hagen with deleting two phone calls to Anne-Elisabeth Hagen on the day she disappeared. But the accusations are not true.
Therefore, a central police certificate against Hagen turns out to be incorrect, writes VG.
Police have not found calls from Hagen to his wife at 10:06 and 10:07 in the call log of the older Nokia phone, and their theory has therefore been that he removed the calls to hide clues.
Now it turns out that the old mobile phone deletes the calls automatically.
– The results of the technical investigations show that the defendants have not deleted the calls, admits to VG the police inspector Agnes Beate Hemiø in the eastern police district.
But the change does not change the police suspicion of Hagen, according to Hemiø.
Defender Svein Holden believes there is no question that the murder charge against the billionaire is weaker today than this spring.
– We are happy that it has now come to light that it was a false accusation against Tom Hagen. At the same time, it is regrettable that the police have spent a disproportionately long time to determine this, Holden writes to VG.
