The contracts have been awarded to Norsea Group, Saga Fjordbase and Asco Norway. These will provide terminal and storage services at supply bases in Norway.

This was stated by Equinor in a press release on Wednesday morning.

Equinor estimates that the contracts have a total value of around NOK 1.4 billion.

The contracts will come into effect in July next year and will last for two years.

– The bases employ more than 800 people from Dusavik in the south to Hammerfest in the north, and create significant activity in local communities along the Norwegian coast. The new two-year contracts help secure jobs and continuity for the grassroots and the business groups associated with them, Purchasing Director Peggy Krantz-Underland says in the press release.

Equinor collaborates with suppliers on the grassroots to reduce CO2 emissions from logistics operations on the Norwegian platform, the company writes in the report.
