A townhouse in Trondheim is in danger of collapsing, Trøndelag police wrote on Twitter on Sunday afternoon. It is not known if the cause is fast loamy soil, an unfortunate renovation, or a combination.
– Nine residents have been evacuated, says Trøndelag police operations manager Trond Volden. The townhouse consists of four apartments and the inhabitants of all the apartments were evacuated on Sunday.
The reason the house appears to be collapsing, according to police, is that the supporting structures have been destroyed as a result of the interior renovation.

Resident Kristin Moen is one of the evacuees. She says the damage to the house has escalated in the last week, after neighbors first noticed a week ago that the construction of the house could be damaged.
– Last night I heard rumble and crash. And then I woke up at 02 o’clock last night to more roar and din. And today we saw the slips down there.
How are you right now
– I’m quite shaky and I can’t think rationally at the moment. The entire row of houses has been evacuated indefinitely.

The police were also called a week ago.
Task leader Ketil Stene in the police says that the police would not take risks and therefore decided to evacuate all residents in the row of houses.
– We have everyone who lives in line here, in danger of getting more enraged then, says Stene.
Police have been on the scene earlier this week, following a report that the home had been destroyed.
– Then it didn’t look like it does now, says Stene.
It is the deterioration of the situation in the last 24 hours which means that residents are now being evacuated indefinitely.
INJURIES: There are both external and internal injuries.

I’m not sure what happened during rehab.
The district team leader, Kristian Trøan, says that the damage to the house likely occurred during the rehab and that the district team has no reason to believe that something similar will happen to other houses in the neighborhood.
– We do not consider it to be a cause for concern, but we are waiting for the appraisers’ reports and that is there, says Trøan. Husrekka was built in 1980 and is therefore forty years old. Trøan has never experienced anything like this in the area.
– I have lived here since 1987 and have never seen anything like it, says Trøan.
GRENDELAGSLEDER: I don’t think the damage is due to an uncertain reason, but rather a renovation.
