Infected Chief of Staff: – As if things weren’t bad before

The case is being updated.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows tested positive for corona, according to US media. Several other Trump employees are also said to be infected.

Bloomberg, CNN and the AP news agency refer to sources saying that Meadows (61) has been infected. At least two other Trump staff members reportedly tested positive.

Thus, it may appear that the Trump administration has been hit by a new outbreak. The president himself, his wife Melania, counselor Hope Hicks, and several other people were infected in October.

Meadows is one of several in the Trump administration who mostly don’t wear face masks, CNN notes. The chief of staff has been in contact with various people in the White House and the circle around Trump over the past week.

Among other things, Meadows has been heavily involved in planning Trump’s post-election strategy. He has reportedly urged Trump to continue to advance his undocumented voter fraud allegations.

Now Trump’s staff must deal with new cases of infection, in addition to the disappointing outcome of the US presidential election.

“As if things weren’t bad enough before,” an anonymous source told CNN.
