Accuses Democrats of Election Fraud – NRK Urix – Foreign News & Documentaries

Republicans accuse Democrats of cheating while counting votes in the last four states. So far there has been no documented electoral fraud.

On Wednesday, Biden won Michigan and Wisconsin. And now it says about the states of Nevada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia.

The Trump campaign has live trials in Georgia. They ask a judge to make sure the rules for counting votes by mail are followed. They are also filing lawsuits in Pennsylvania.

Previously, NRK wrote that the lawsuit in Georigia was about suspending vote counting, but the AP has now reported that it was wrong.

Additionally, the president’s campaign staff has asked a Michigan court to intervene to stop the counting of votes in the state and demanded a recount in Wisconsin.

Donald Trump has long claimed that the election will be rigged against him and tried to question the use of mail-in ballots.

They think they can’t see the postal votes.

President-elect Bill Stepien says they have been prevented from observing the vote count in Michigan in several places.

On Wednesday, Eric Trump claims the same is happening in Pennsylvania.

– We will win Pennsylvania, but the Democrats are trying to cheat. That is why we are going to sue. That’s the last thing we want to do, it’s a shame we have to do it. But this is corruption and we cannot let it happen.

Eric Trump, his wife and Trump's campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani met with the press in Pennsylvania tonight. They believe Democrats are cheating and will sue for not being able to see the votes by mail.

They say the reason they are suing is that when mail ballots are counted, they are not allowed to be close enough to the count to see what is on the ballot papers.

– We don’t have a chance to see if the ballots are postmarked, addressed or signed correctly, says Donald Trump’s lawyer, Rudi Giuliani.

He believes this can easily lead to several thousand false votes being included in the tally.

– This is one of the most undemocratic I have seen. And it’s happening not just in Pennsylvania, but across the country, Giuliani says.

Great state with many voters

American expert and associate professor Sofie Høgestøl tells NRK that there are probably not as many wrongdoing in Pennsylvania as the Trump campaign should have had.

– It may well be that there are some irregularities, it is a large state with many voters. It may well be that there are one or two voices in which there are some errors. But it is more than saying that there are big mistakes in this election here.

– We have to look at the lawsuit, but this is a bit reminiscent of Florida’s tactics where they try to go on multiple ballots and say we shouldn’t count them, Høgestøl says.

It refers to the presidential elections of 2000, when the result in the state of Florida went to the Supreme Court.

The road to re-election will be very difficult for Trump if he does not win in Pennsylvania and the 20 voters at stake, NTB writes.

Trump claims victory

Donald Trump claims on Twitter that he will win the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina.

Twitter has tagged Trump’s announcement that official sources have not necessarily declared any victories in these states. Several of his tweets have been labeled as misleading.

The AP news agency emphasizes that they have not yet declared the winner in any of the states.

He also said he was going to win Michigan, but Biden won there.

Biden also sure of victory

Joe Biden also met with the press on Wednesday. Then he said he was sure he would win the presidential election.

– Now, after a long night of counting, it is clear that we have taken enough states to get 270 voters. I’m not here to say we’ve won, but I think we will, Biden said at a news conference Wednesday night.
