Jansa is a highly controversial politician who has served as Prime Minister of Slovenia in his now third term. He was prime minister from 2004 to 2008 and from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, he was forced to resign when he was sentenced to two years in prison after a court in Ljubljana found him guilty of corruption.
According to Reuters, Jansa belongs to the Slovenian Democratic Party, critical of immigration, and has now been president since March this year.
Jansa has previously made clear that she wanted Donald Trump for four new years.
