Just after midnight, the first ballot was held on Election Day in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.
All the registered voters in the small constituency gathered to cast their votes shortly after midnight, and the count could begin as soon as five minutes after midnight. At the last census, twelve people lived in the town. Five votes were cast on Sunday.
The tally showed that Joe Biden received all five votes.
In nearby Millsfield, the result was just the opposite. There, Trump won by 16 votes to 5.
The two small towns are not important in the big picture, but they receive a lot of attention as they are the first to come out in the American elections.
Hillary Clinton won New Hampshire by a 0.4 percent margin in the 2016 election.
