A subway car in the Netherlands went through the blockages at the terminal and risked going down a bridge. At the last minute he was stopped by a whale sculpture.
The incident occurred on Monday night at the end of the metro line in Speijkenisse, south of the city of Rotterdam, reports NTB.
The subway tracks are located on an elevated bridge, which stops right next to a neighborhood. Instead of stopping at the terminal, the carriage passed through the barricades and ended up outside the bridge.
There was no one else on board the subway except the conductor, who escaped in horror from it all, reports the Media TV website in Rotterdam.
Images from the site show the carriage balanced on the sculpture of a whale’s tail fin.
The public transportation company says the driver escaped the somewhat special incident unscathed.
The incident has received a lot of attention on social media:
– I think this is a work of art in itself, he writes. Janny Bloemendahl On twitter.
“The subway driver tried his luck as a pilot,” writes the satirical newspaper De Speld.
