One of the buses to the Biden campaign was surrounded by Trump supporters on its way to Austin, Texas.

A campaign bus heading from San Antonio to an election event in Austin, Texas, was surrounded by vehicles from Trump’s encampment, which attempted to slow down and push the bus off the road.

A representative for Biden’s campaign told CNN.

At one point, Trump supporters are said to have slowed down to about 30 kilometers per hour on the highway. About a hundred vehicles are said to have surrounded the bus, according to the Biden campaign representative.

Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris were on the bus.

One of those who observed the course of events on Saturday was Twitter user @ericcervini.

– See all these trucks with Trump flags? They were sitting along the highway waiting to attack the Biden / Harris field bus as it traveled from San Antonio to Austin, he writes.

He continues by telling what should have happened next:

“These Trump supporters, many of whom were armed, circled the bus on the road and tried to pull it off the road,” he writes, adding that the police were in the minority, 50-1.

Democratic Representative Rafael Anchía also talks about Twitter that the followers were armed.

– It is understandable that although no one was injured, the rest of the tour was canceled. And as a historian who studied the rise of the Third Reich, I can tell you: this is how a democracy dies, Cervini writes.

According to CNN, field personnel on board were shaken by the incident, but no one was injured.

Shortly after the news broke, President Trump posted a video on Twitter of a Biden bus surrounded by Trump supporters in cars.

– I LOVE TEXAS, writes the president.
