Review: “Star Wars” – NRK – “Star Wars” ending song by song

[ad_1]

TV: Then it is decided: it was Knut Marius who took the victory in this year’s “Star Fight”. They both sang three songs each during the final broadcast: an early season rerun, a separate song, and finally sang a final song. As usual, we review the performance of the participants on an ongoing basis. Read below.

Repeat of the season

The last song of

Sandra: (Hiphop) “Run This Town” – Jay-Z feat. Rihanna og Kanye West (2009)

What a journey it has been for Sandra. You have approached most of the challenges with conviction. Its great strength is that it looks like a workhorse. She continues with everything she has each time. Before the hip hop show, she claimed that she was reasonably nervous. It didn’t seem then and it definitely doesn’t seem now. Sandra is more capable of making the song her own this time around and she has a devilish violence here that it’s hard not to get excited. From a singing point of view, it’s okay and the attitude is at least nothing to say.

The last song of

Knut Marius: (Egen sjanger): “With a little help from my friends” – Joe Cocker (1969)

This was Knut Marius’s introduction to “Star Wars” nine broadcasts ago. The soul of Patosladet is a masterful exercise at hand, like most of the other challenges he has faced throughout the season. Knut Marius stays in the reins a bit longer initially, before he formally explodes with energy a little more midway through. There’s a lot of power in those vocal cords, so to speak. It literally vibrates on the TV screen as Knut Marius continues. There is no point arguing with him after such a show. Good start.

Own melody

The last song of

Sandra: Get rid of the flag (October 2020)

Sandra always sings with her heart on the outside of her shirt. Here for the first time you have the opportunity to share one of your own songs. It suits him very well. Sandra has a pleasant sensitivity to pop that, in combination with personal text, cuts through the screen well. Throughout the fall, he has flexed many vocal muscles. Here she dares to be down and comfortable. Sandra is still on the right track.

The last song of

Knut Marius: “Can you help me help?” (October 2020)

This is pretty far from the Knut Marius we’ve seen in the competition before. Subdued, sensitive and almost on the verge of insecurity. Something that in many ways is pleasant to see. In any case, it is not hiding behind technique and volume. Knut Marius offers a nice song in the realm of adult pop. He wobbles a little melodically in the verses, but he gains strength in the chorus. If Knut Marius sharpens the pencil even more, he can quickly become a composer to be reckoned with.

Final song

The last song of

Sandra: «Titanio» – David Guetta feat. Sia (2011)

This is a daring piece of a song to start with. And that in a final pair. “Titanium” is high and low both dynamically and tonally. Sandra, however, has proven through competition that she can scale the highest peaks. She is doing very well here too. Above all, it is its sound and its intensity that carries the performance. Sometimes it sings a bit bitter, but fortunately it is not very destructive. But since we are in the final, you also have to allow him to play a bit. In any case, the “Star Wars” season has been Sandra’s only long display of power. Well blown.

The last song of

Knut Marius: “The show must go on” – Queen (1991)

Strictly speaking, couldn’t it have ended differently? It’s almost more than free to choose to play Freddie Mercury two weekends in a row, but Knut Marius is pretty forgiven; after all, there are two very different expressions. The verse lines here are perhaps some of the best phrases Mercury has ever delivered and yet Knut Marius manages to fill them with warmth, nerve, and soul. Nerve and soul are, strictly speaking, two keywords here. For a talent for singing and for a way to empty the last remaining stock before the finish line. There is almost no point in trying to list all the boxes Knut Marius checks here. See, listen and enjoy. Thanks for now
